This story includes many facets of poverty, abuse, violence, homelessness, mental illness, sadness, dysfunctionality, etc. However, it also provides plenty of love for my family and the people who have been in Ethan's life. Although things did not turn out the way he’d hoped, he does not believe he did too bad. If he’d been raised differently, he may not have been able to cope with some of the issues he’d endured. Despite the many challenges, Ethan have realized that he still have deep love for his family.

Ethan's story is probably one of the most challenging things Mr. Zech Pilk has ever written. He's sure it violates every “Man Code” there is. Putting someone's story out for all the world to see was hard for him. and he will be forever embarrassed. Yet, it’s rewarding to know he has put “pen to paper” to tell Ethan's story and let the world know Ethan has had some of the same issues, problems, good times, and bad times, just like you. Although this story may be fiction, it could very well be a story many of you have lived or experience parts of at some point in your lives.
